Abstract

The quality of the teaching process in higher education, is one of the main management challenges of managers in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Mexico and Six Sigma (SS) is a methodology that has proven the achievement of great benefits and savings in manufacturing and service companies, some authors have recommended incorporating SS in HEIs as an aid to quality improvement, so this paper analyzes the critical success factors (FCE) for the implementation of SS in HEIs, which are important to increase the probability of success if a university decides to implement this methodology. A bibliographic review was made in databases worldwide. The information was analyzed with the meta-analysis technique, in which 15 FCE of the 39 mentioned in 88 articles were considered.
