This article describes the work carried out for an agro-industrial company dedicated to the packaging and export of different horticultural products such as chives, radishes, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and parsley to the United States, Canada, and some countries in Europe. With this project, the aim was to identify those problems in the field reception and belt production areas to identify areas of opportunity to improve the safety of employees in the company. The development of the application of the 5S methodology focused on managing workspaces, as well as the tools in them, by eliminating clutter, organizing the space, establishing clear procedures, improving operational efficiency, and reducing the risks of accidents and injuries in the workplace, mainly promoting a cultural change in personnel to sustain the bases of the 5S methodology.
